Vitreous degeneration can take varying forms with clumping in sheet-like patterns one of the more interesting changes. The following images represent multiple patients and eyes with vitreous-sheets. It can be challenging to view the retina and at first glance this may even appear to be a retinal detachment. However, none of these images represent a retinal detachment and no tears or holes are present. The blue arrows point out the pathology but the vitreous sheets are extensive and amorphous in shape beyond the arrows.
