Pachyvessels are a descriptive term used to denote large (pachy=thick) vessels. Varying micron cut offs have been suggested but no definitive description is uniformly accepted.
A pachyvessel is simply a large choroidal vessel. It can be noted clinically (arrow), but is more often a source of confusion on OCT evaluation. The term is descriptive in nature and may or may not be associated with other underlying choroidal vascular pathology.
A green-free image highlights the choroid and makes the choroidal vasculature more visible.
