Chorioretinal folds can be seen in both normal and pathological etiologies.
This example of a patient with hypotony demonstrates multiple blot hemorrhages, a shallow choroidal detachment (blue circle), and multiple chorioretinal folds (blue arrows). If you look carefully there are many chorioretinal folds but only 2 are marked with an arrow.
The OCT of the same patient with hypotony further demonstrates the appearance of chorioretinal folds. Note that the most striking feature is the undulation of the RPE.
