Lamellar Macular Hole (LMH)

This term refers to a partial-thickness foveal defect that features an irregular foveal contour and a defect in the inner fovea with or without actual tissue loss. Intraretinal splitting, or schisis, is variably present and the photoreceptor layer is notably intact. The term LMH can be used to describe the OCT finding and can also be used diagnostically.
