
The CEO of EyeCarePD, Dr. David E. Lederer, has genuine passion for eye care education and a knack for translating that into accessible, engaging training that delivers practical skill building. Dr. Lederer has served as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at McGill University Faculty of Medicine as well as the Director of Tele-Ophthalmology (2011-2013). He has published numerous articles and abstracts and has reviewed for multiple scholarly publications including Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology and The Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology. Dr. Lederer has garnered many honors and awards including his appointment as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, the Frank Buller Award for Most Outstanding Clinical Instructor, McGill University Department of Ophthalmology Leadership Award, along with multiple grants for academic achievement. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, he received his M.D. at Tufts University School of Medicine, performed his residency at McGill University in the Department of Ophthalmology and completed a Medical Retina Fellowship at Duke University.
Dr Lederer is also a sought-after conference speaker. He has presented for conferences all over the U.S. and Canada. The response to his presentations has been immense — due to his unique approach to storytelling and the impactful visual media that supports it.
