Signal Strength

This is a score given to the overall intensity of the signal captured by the OCT device. Lower scores are more likely to lead to segmentation errors. Segmentation errors are defined as a misplacement of the retinal layer boundaries autogenerated by the OCT computer. Segmentation errors lead to incorrect calculations of the thickness parameters.
