Panretinal Photocoagulation (PRP)

61-year-old man, status post PRP. The inferior laser demonstrates 4-week-old laser burns. The superior aspect demonstrates fresh laser burns (5 minutes old). Notably, it is common for the laser spots along the edges to be more focused, more intense and irregular in shape/smaller in size (circled area). This is due to the optical properties of the coupling lens used to perform the laser when treating along the edges of the lens.
