61-year-old man with known dry AMD on routine follow-up examination. The ERM distorts the retinal configuration, but notably there is no subretinal or intraretinal fluid. It is important to recognize how an ERM will affect the retina to avoid the tendency to overcall or undercall dry AMD. Such an error would be at the risk of missing neovascular (Wet) pathology.
